Platte Valley Ambulance Service

Suggestions for a Happy AND Safe New Years Celebration..

PVAS Medics want all of our family, friends and all of the people we serve to have a great time ringing in the new year tonight. We all have so much to look forward to in 2016! However, we hope that we don’t see any of you from an emergency standpoint…

Here are some suggestions for enjoying a fun night out;

  1. Eat a substantial meal before drinking any alcohol
  2. Drink Plenty of clear liquids ( non-alcoholic) or even some soft-drinks to slow your alcohol intake
  3. Consider drinking light beer or using smaller glasses. Always drink in moderation!
  4. Have a plan for getting home safely. Use a designated driver, call a cab or call our “Party Patrol” at 303.304.2012 for a ride home – FREE of charge!

The party patrol will be placed into service by 9:30 PM and will be operating well after midnight. Consider calling early to reserve a pick up time- we anticipate being busy!

Platte Valley Ambulance Service is an award winning, patient-centered organization serving Brighton, Lochbuie, Henderson, Todd Creek, Great Rock, Wattenburg and portions of unincorporated Adams and Weld Counties. All of our medics maintain state-wide and national credentials and employ a wide variety of modalities of care supported by state-of-the art equipment. By focusing on current standards of care, we were early users of many different procedures and medical equipment adapted for the pre-hospital environment that are still in use today.

While we are blessed with reliable, well maintained vehicles and excellent equipment, we are not only High-Tech – we pride ourselves in being a “High-Touch” organization. As experts in caring for people, our medics recognize the importance of making sure our patients and their loved ones feel like they are well informed and included in their course of care. Our highest priorities are to keep our patient’s safe, warm and comfortable and to relieve their pain or distress. We realize that some of the best care we provide includes a soft pillow, a warm blanket and a caring touch.

EMS System

Our organization is a part of an elaborate system that includes our colleagues from Adams and Weld County dispatch centers, both of whom provide skilled dispatchers that deliver key medical instructions over the phone while appropriate resources are being notified of your emergency. Surrounding fire service and law enforcement agencies serving as medical first responders, medical helicopter and mutual-aid ambulance services augment our ability to transport people to definitive care, and the physicians, physician assistants, nurses and medical technicians from Platte Valley Medical Center and other surrounding specialty medical facilities make up your emergency medical services (EMS) system. Together, we are proud to serve you.

We are honored that you have come to our web-page. Welcome!
