The Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC) Foundation is pleased to announce that through a matching grant from Community First Foundation, the Foundation’s Endowment Fund has reached over $1,100,000!
“The Endowment Fund serves the many needs of the hospital, not only now, but for generations to come,” explains Foundation Executive Director Marcie Demchuk. “We are very grateful for the support of our community in reaching this goal.”
The principle of the Endowment Fund is invested permanently and the interest and earnings are available on an annual basis to meet the current and future needs the hospital.
In 2011, the PVMC Foundation will make a distribution of $50,000 from Endowment Fund earnings to PVMC’s Medical Imaging Department. This grant will help upgrade their digital mammography imaging technology. The enhancement will decrease procedure time for patients by allowing technicians to view results directly in the patient’s room.
Over 4,300 patients annually will benefit from this contribution. We cannot say THANK YOU enough for helping PVMC support a state-of-the-art Women’s Imaging Center. Each year, thousands of women can have their lives changed by early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
