Community Mass Casualty Drill This Wednesday at PVMC

Date: 03/14/11

Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC) will host a community-wide Mass Casualty Drill to simulate an infectious influx and viral epidemic this Wednesday, March 16, from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. The purpose of the drill is to test the community’s response to an infectious illness outbreak.
If you are at the hospital during drill hours, you may be asked to participate by going through a brief screening process. Several agencies will participate, including the City of Brighton Office of Emergency Management, Brighton Police Department, Greater Brighton Fire Protection District, Tri County Health Department, Cottonwood Care Center, Sterling House, Brighton Care Center, Brighton Senior Center, and the Brighton 27J School District.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this important community response effort. Together with the participating agencies, PVMC is working to ensure the health and safety of our community. If you have any questions about the drill, please contact Colleen Casaceli at 303-498-1553 or Wendy Colon at 303-498-1906.
