Sports Medicine Program
Platte Valley Medical Center is pleased to provide a comprehensive sports medicine program for our community athletes. PVMC's sports medicine program offers multiple services to assist our athletes in performing at their peak.
Preseason Physical
Both Brighton High School and Prairie View High School's athletic departments coordinates clinics at various locations and times to accommodate all athletes preparing for an upcoming season. Physicals are conducted in conjunction with physical therapists from our Department of Physical Medicine. Proceeds are used to fund school athletic programs.
Athletic Event and Practice Coverage
PVMC's Sports Medicine Programs from both Brighton High School and Prairie View High School's athletic departments provide valuable athletic training coverage of area high school games and practices. We offer a staff trainer and student trainers six days a week, providing their expertise at over 300 games and 2500 practices annually.
Injury Rehabilitation Support
In addition to the athletic trainers, we offer consult services through our Physical Medicine department. Specific athlectic needs are then accurately addressed in this fashion.
