The American Diabetes Association has recognized Platte Valley Medical Center's Diabetes Program as one that meets national criteria for superior diabetes education in both English and Spanish. Participants receive tailored individual and group education in a fun, relaxed setting with a variety of experts in the field. Medicare and most health plans cover all or a portion of the cost and a physician's referral is required.
Diabetes Management Classes are perfect for the person newly diagnosed with diabetes, or for someone who just wants the latest information on nutrition, exercise, stress, insulin/medications, and avoiding the complications of diabetes.
