We're proud of our service to our community and continue to look for new ways to fulfill our mission of improving our community's overall health.
Diabetes Program & Education
We are pleased to offer our patients and the community a comprehensive Diabetes program that includes Registered Dietitians who are available for inpatient nutritional counseling and an expansive accredited Diabetes Self-Management Education Program.
PVMC's Diabetes Self-Management Classes
The American Diabetes Association has recognized Platte Valley Medical Center's Diabetes Program as one that meets national criteria for superior diabetes education in both English and Spanish. Participants receive tailored individual and group education in a fun, relaxed setting with a variety of experts in the field. Medicare and most health plans cover all or a portion of the cost and a physician referral is required to attend.
